Concerto for 2 harpsichords in C minor, BWV 1060

A rare opportunity to hear all three of J. S. Bach's superb concertos for two harpsichords and orchestra, along with a concerto by someone who might just have played those concertos with him, his most gifted son Carl Philipp Emanuel, born in our all-important year of 1714. They are performed by one of Europe's most talented young Baroque orchestras, joined for the occasion by one of the world's supreme harpsichordists, Pierre Hantaï.

'Red-blooded performances ... full of sinewy joyfulness.'
