Bach  Mass in B Minor

Collegium Vocale Gent
Philippe Herreweghe

Philippe Herreweghe and his world-renowned choir and orchestra paid a memorable first visit to the Lufthansa Festival with an all-Bach programme in 2008, since when we've been understandably eager to get them back. Now here they are to open this year's Festival with more music by the composer with whom they are associated above all others, the awe-inspiring setting of the Mass that was Bach's great final testament of genius as a master of sacred vocal music.

'Infectiously joyful singing and playing...a musical jewel.'
