A varied and unusual selection of chamber works by Bach and Handel. The programme includes Bach's Flute Sonata in E minor BWV 1034, the Cello Suite No.3 in C and the Trio Sonata in G BWV 1038, now thought to be largely the work of one of Bach's sons; and it ends with Handel's enchanting Flute Sonata in B minor from his Op.1 collection.

The Dutch-based ensemble Musica ad Rhenum has established its reputation as a dynamic and highly original ensemble which combines insightful scholarship with inspired musicianship. Its virtuoso, daring interpretations of Bach and Handel are sure to take your breath away!

'Wentz presents himself as one of the best of his guild...and the ensemble playing is of the highest quality.' Concerto

'...breath-taking...bubbling over with temperament, passionate rhetorical gestures and chameleonic changes of mood irresistibly sweep away the listener.' Fono Forum
